The operation is based within 130,00 square feet and has a staff of close to 100 dedicated employees.

Walk-In Coolers and Freezers
Walk-In Coolers and Freezers are assembled using prefabricated modular panels. These panels consist of metal-clad extruded polystyrene or urethane insulation. They are designed for fast and easy field assembly and can be conveniently disassembled for relocation or enlargement. Panels are available in 4” and 6” thicknesses. Full width panels are 47” wide, with narrow panels in various widths as required. Enclosure sections can be constructed in any size to accommodate actual customer requirements. One-piece panels are available in lengths of up to 30 feet.

The wall panels are joined together by cam-lock fasteners that are embedded into the profiled panel edges. The cam-locks consist of a locking arm mounted on a rotating cam anchored in the tongue edge and a steel pin that is anchored in the groove edge. By rotating the locking arm with a hex wrench, the arm engages over the pin, and the rotation of the cam draws both panels tightly together. The cam-locks are rotated from inside the walk-in through access ports which are subsequently sealed with vinyl snap-in caps.

The panels consist of formed metal skins laminated to the insulation under pressure with a structural adhesive. Insulation is either extruded polystyrene or urethane. This process is carefully monitored to ensure a high-quality structural bond that withstands a wide range of humidity and temperature conditions. All panels have tongue and groove edges to facilitate assembly and to provide a tight, well-insulated panel joint.

Floor panels are constructed of .080 aluminum interior skin as the standard. The floors will withstand uniformly distributed loads of up to 600 pounds per square foot. Optional reinforced floors are available and are recommended when using mobile carts or dollies.

Standard panel finishes include:

  • 26-gauge G-90 Galvanized Steel, smooth or stucco surface
  • 26-gauge G-90 White Painted Galvanized Steel, stucco surface
  • .032 Aluminum, stucco surface
  • 22-gauge Stainless Steel 304 #4, polished surface
  • 24-gauge Stainless Steel 304 #2B

National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) approved enclosures are an option, constructed with covered corners and floors.

The standard door unit consists of a hinged door, flush mounted in a 47” wide panel with a clear opening of 34” wide x 78” high. A vapor proof light fixture and a light switch with digital thermometer, are mounted in the framed door assembly. The lighting fixture and switch are pre-wired at the factory. Freezer doors have anti-sweat heaters in the frame section. A replaceable magnetic gasket seals the door at the top and the two sides. The bottom edge of the door is sealed with a dual neoprene sweep. Each door has two heavy duty polished chrome hinges with spring-loaded action with automatic door closure.

We offer several door styles to meet your specific needs:

  • Glass doors with lights and shelving packages for retail locations
  • Hinged pallet doors in custom sizes up to 5 feet wide and 7 feet high
  • Sliding doors, single doors, or bi-parting doors are available in both manual and electric models.

The door latch is polished chrome; it is positive latching and has an adjustable strike plate. An inside safety release handle is provided so the door can be opened from the inside even when it is padlocked from the outside.

A complete approved set of drawings are supplied with each walk-in cooler and freezer. It is important that the wall panels be level upon installation A clearance of 2” should be allowed between the wall panels and the existing room walls and ceiling. All panels are tagged with easy-to-read part numbers for a smooth and rapid installation.
